At that time, Minute Muffler Auto Service Centre was the only shop in Lethbridge specializing solely in mufflers and exhaust systems. News quickly spread and Minute Muffler Auto Service Centre became an instant hit and the talk of the town.
Minute Muffler Auto Service Centre was so successful that in 1971 a second shop was opened in Medicine Hat, Alberta quickly followed by two more shops in British Columbia. Following this success Minute Muffler became a franchise business. Today there are over 90 Minute Muffler & Brake franchises across Canada.
Although muffler and performance exhaust systems remain our primary service we also specialize in brake repair, shock absorbers, struts and at a growing number of locations we offer oil, lube and car care check-up and other services. The guiding principle remains the same as the first Minute Muffler Auto Service Centre opened back in 1969. Simply put...

If I could give these guys a ten star review, I would. They went above and beyond giving me the best, friendly and professional service I’ve received in a long time… I got a diagnostic and fix and a new tire all in one day with no appointment. I was in a bad situation having to make a 600k trip the next day for a memorial service with 3 kids in tow. I’m telling everybody I know to take their vehicles there. Great guys!!!

Great work as always! Been coming to this location since I was a kid with my Dad and lots of things in the city have changed but always great service from this location on the many vehicles we have brought in over the years. Amazing how fast they can get you in and out even when busy. Loving my new muffler/tips install and will be bringing in another vehicle for the same treatment soon. Keep up the great job guys!
